Greetings

After US merchant ship, named Gallic, with Korean immigrants was arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1903, Korean-American community has been growing as one of major Minority group in U.S.A. with 2.5 millions Korean - American.

Though the immigration history of Korean-Americans was started from empty hands at a sugar cane farm in Hawaii, they accomplished a monumental work in successful American life based on faithfulness and diligence.

Therefore, the Federation of Korean Associations, USA as a representative of 2.5 millions Korean-Americans in USA has felt more proud and self-confidence.

Though the Korean immigration history to US, the Federation of Korean-Americans, USA had acted aggressively and devotedly for the Korea Independence under the rule of Japanese imperialism, and has been faithfully incapable of a non-governmental diplomatic role to solid the promotion of the relations of Korea to the United States for the elongation of Korean-Americans rights and interests in the strong Korea-US mutual-assistance system during fifty years. In addition, it has constantly sought to be a centripetal role for unity of 7 millions overseas Koreans and to establish the Korean identity in Korean-American community.

Toward new Millennium of 21st century, the Federation of Korean Associations, USA will be capable of responsibility and duty as a representative of 2.5 millions Korean-Americans in USA with new vision for establishment new spring and development of Korean-American society.

For this, I am sure that this new developed Web-Site: www.koreanus.org will be helpful Korean-American to display their cohesive power through building up Korean Network in USA to link all Korean-American community in USA. In addition, it will be useful that the Korean-American Community which was built up by 1st generation of immigration to US will be inherited to Korean 2nd generations with more developed Korean-American society based on national identity.

Based on such kind of concept, we will establish a certain foundation of the Federation of Korean Associations, USA as a representative of Korean-American in USA to contribute for the promotion of the relation of Korea to United States. Through this, we hope to build up the powerful Korean-American community which is contributed for the promotion of Korean- Americans rights and interests in USA toward major society in US.
